Team Zeus Roadmap Instant Messaging


  • Increased performance: faster opening of conversation and chats.
  • The name of the person who archived a conversation will be displayed below the message sender area, with the time and date it was archived.

  • Calendar invitations: support for adding all people from a group to a calendar event. When a group is selected, it will separately add all users to the event and single invitations will be sent automatically to every member of a group.

  • Drum roll: when you click on a message in the search results, it will take you directly to the place in the conversation/chat where the message is located and it will highlight the message. This is a ‘read-only’ contextual view, if you want to go to the conversation/chat and send new messages from this view, click to ‘go to conversation’ or ‘go to chat’ from the upper-right corner, it will open in standard view with latest messages and the name of the message sender.

Team Zeus Development Roadmap – June 2017

We regularly update Team Zeus in order to improve user experience and enhance the productivity of our customers. In this latest update to our roadmap, we have listed some of the exciting improvements we recently made to our team communication app:

  • Mentioning someone in a conversation will now automatically add that person to the conversation. It even works when mentioning multiple people in one message.

  • We have changed the ‘Recipients’ button so that to show members of the current conversation, you now have to click on the button, where previously you just had to hover over ‘Recipients’ to see the list of members.

  • New Search Backend.
  • Search results for users, messages, conversations are always ordered by date of creation, in reverse chronological order.
  • New ordering of search results for calendar events, done by starting date, score/match.
  • Improved search of special characters.
  • Fixed search when making a search query, using this model: ‘#CONVERSATIONNUMBER’.
  • Added basic support for “AND / NOT” Boolean operators in search queries. Thus, you can now make the following search queries:
    • "Search Term 1" AND "Search Term 2" – search for data containing both “Search Term 1″ and “Search Term 2″.
    • "Search Term 1" NOT "Search Term 2" – search for “Search Term 1″, excluding “Search Term 2″ in the results.


Tasks are automatically ordered by ‘Due Date’ and then by alphabetical order on the Team Zeus personal to-do list.


  • The calendar is now viewable on the iOS app, enabling users to view events and import them from Team Zeus to the iOS native app. However, users cannot yet create, edit, or delete events through the app.
  • We have made changes to improve the synchronisation of events from your calendar to the Team Zeus iOS app. If you encounter any issues with calendar sync, please try to delete your device from ‘My Devices’ section on the desktop app, then add it again.

The Team Zeus analytic dashboard lets users look at various team performance indicators, such as:

a) The number of messages exchanged by department

See how many messages are exchanged between work colleagues of a specific department and evaluate which department is the busiest on Team Zeus. This element can also be useful to distinguish which team relies the most on the use of Team Zeus for collaboration, or to determine if a group is spending too much time messaging their colleagues, rather than accomplishing their work – or ultimately, if a department requires help from another team.

b) The number of messages per room

Rooms are created for a department or for a particular workflow. The number of messages per room establishes whether a room is active or not, which can help to expose whether team members don’t communicate enough – or whether the room is really necessary.

c) What’s the most active conversation/thread or flexi-threads?

A thread can be created in a chat room, or outside a room when it includes users from different teams who work together on the same project. Such indicators can be handy to evaluate the importance of a particular task in terms of time allocation and work effort – it can also help find out if there is any communication issues when a thread hasn’t been regularly used.

d) Number of threads created by day

This statistic can assist a company in determining the amount of work a team should be given on a daily basis, and whether there are organisational issues that need to be resolved (when the number of threads is above what was expected).

e) Number of threads per room

Once again, this figure could indicate an important workload, and may also reveal any communication failure, when threads are unnecessarily created, as some conversations could have taken place in the default thread.

Analysing all these elements can highlight communication and/or collaboration problems that organisations can work on, to improve the efficiency of their different departments.

Performance of individual users

The Team Zeus advanced reporting dashboard also focuses on the single performance of each employee. Managers can identify if workers are experiencing difficulties, and can then define a list of objectives for every employee to reach, based on the report from Team Zeus. Here is an overview of the different items a business is able to obtain about each employee on Team Zeus:

a) See the highest message sender

This information could point out whether the workload of an individual is important; if an employee could do with more help from colleagues; or if a worker is a strong collaborator that people can rely on (demonstrating that s/he is a precious asset for the organisation).

b) Average respond time to messages by user

The average user response time will provide valuable information to managers, indicating whether certain individuals need to answer quicker to the messages they receive from their colleagues, or if they encounter difficulties in terms of time-management. If employees are slow to answer to their colleagues, this has a significant knock-on-effect on the rest of the organisation, as they might be late answering to emails from customers.

c) Number of unread messages per user

The number of unread messages per user is essential to detect any communication failure by individuals, which may need to be addressed. It could also indicate whether too many questions are sent to the same person, and that consequently, the person hasn’t got the time to answer to all of them.

d) Number of messages sent per user

This data helps indicate a colleague’s workload, and may show that an employee needs more help with his/her work. It could also mean that they are great communicators as they keep their colleagues in the loop with their current work flow.

e) Users with no activity

Various factors could explain why users haven’t been active on the platform. Perhaps, they were on holidays during the said period, or they encounter difficulties in using the application, or it could also show that they aren’t good team players.
